A range of Services from Hutchinsons at LAMMA

Looking for a variable rate drill conversion kit? How to navigate new environmental legislation? Or manage Carbon? Or how best to use your nitrogen next season? ...

Then come to the Hutchinsons stand at LAMMA – stand 10.712 (hall 10).

As a business, Hutchinsons have been investing heavily in developing services and technologies to allow growers to work towards sustainability and profitability, in a climate of rising input costs. Join us at LAMMA to speak to us about these services and technologies, all of which have been trialled, tested and validated at a farm-scale level at Hutchinsons’ Helix Farms.

What you'll see on our stand...

Converting a standard land metered drill into a variable rate drill has never been easier or more affordable with the Hutchinsons variable rate drill conversion kit, Omnia E-Seed.

Omnia E-Seed is the first stand-alone variable rate drill conversion kit that fits to any standard drill and does exactly what it says on the box – it enables a standard land metered drill to be converted simply and efficiently into a variable rate drill.

Omnia E-Seed will be on the Hutchinsons stand at LAMMA so come along and find out more.

TerraMap Carbon is the first ever carbon mapping service to provide the most accurate baseline measurement of both organic and active carbon in the soil and is now available to UK farmers.

How can the carbon measurements be used? Within the Omnia Carbon management tool it is possible to create different rotation scenario’s from types of cropping and variety to stewardship and management practices and see first hand the projected CO2 impact and financial performance for each scenario.

Future Services within Omnia will offer the ability to also create potential cropping scenario’s to calculate costs of production allowing users to make decisions on how to manage both carbon and profit before putting a crop into the ground.

Our Omnia team will be at LAMMA and happy to discuss any of these options.

We are in unprecedented times with the spiralling price and limited availability of nitrogen fertilisers for the coming spring. Something that has been relatively cheap and in plentiful supply is now far from either. Therefore, our approach to nitrogen management should reflect a response to the circumstances. Based on our current understanding of supply and pricing – what can be done?

Come along and talk to us on how to measure and fine tune nitrogen applications for the spring.

The switch from direct support to environmentally-focused payments presents massive challenges over coming years. Hutchinsons is helping growers plan the best way forward to benefit from the opportunities available by evaluating the many stewardship options to help farmers make more informed decisions.

Having launched its first Agroecology Helix Farm that is looking solely at the principles and practices of Agroecology, come and talk to us about some of the bigger picture questions that we are looking at.

For more information on these Services or any other crop production issues, please visit the Hutchinsons stand during LAMMA where technical experts will be on hand to answer any of your questions.
