About the Hutchinsons Foundation

Employed as a New Entrant Agronomist at Hutchinsons, you’ll pursue professional qualifications whilst learning from a diverse pool of mentors and trainers. This role offers a platform to nurture not just technical expertise but also the interpersonal skills vital for a thriving career in agronomy.

Working within your local agronomy team you will be building your skills and reputation in your marketplace, with your role evolving as you achieve the essential qualifications, skills and knowledge to deliver agronomic advice to your customer base.

Alongside agronomy you will be developing knowledge across our range of services which include soils, environmental, farm business consultancy and our own farming software, Omnia.

About you

The role will suit someone passionate about developing a long-term career in agronomy; building a strong reputation in your local market for providing high quality advice that supports the delivery of a successful and sustainable business for the grower. You will be passionate about developing strong relationships that are built on trust. Ideally you will have experience in agriculture and knowledge of relevant crops, to support in building your credibility with growers.  Due to the nature of the role, you will require a full, clean UK drivers licence.

With presence across the UK we will consider people in all locations, but are particularly keen to hear from people in the following areas:

  • Peterborough/The Fens
  • South East
  • Cumbria
  • Scotland
  • Cambridgeshire
  • Yorkshire

What do we look for?

  • A passion for arable farming.
  • Knowledge of agriculture and cropping, either demonstrated through qualifications or experience.
  • Ability to communicate well and build relationships.
  • Tenacity, motivation and desire to succeed!
  • Full UK drivers licence.
