Hutchinsons is to host its first brassica demonstration trials site open day on Thursday 12th July 2018 at Bayholme Farm, Old Leake, Boston. Run in conjunction with the Allium & Brassica Centre, the innovative trials site reflects the significant investment of the Hutchinsons business into brassica production.
“Our trials explore the efficacy of current and forthcoming actives, their efficacy when applied in combination and also how to use disease forecasting to better target application,” says Peter Waldock, Hutchinsons technical support manager for vegetables.
“Bio-stimulants are an area of increasing interest for the sector, so we have trials that are looking at the crop health and yield benefits of amino acids and flavonoids when applied at different growth stages.”
The event is being held by kind permission of F Daubney & Son, Bayholme Farm, Old Leake, Boston, PE22 9HT. Hutchinsons vegetable technical specialists will be on hand delivering presentations and answering any questions form 12 noon – 4pm.
