NRoSO Arable Training Roadshows – ‘Issues, Ions, Ideas’
(This course qualifies for 10 NRoSO CPD and 8 BASIS CPD points)

NRoSO annual training events (roadshows) continue to be a major source of update training for spray operators and Hutchinsons are very happy to be supporting the initiative by arranging courses around the country.

This year members are invited to participate again in an interactive training event that focuses on the topics of current issues affecting pesticide use, the way water quality influences the efficacy of the products used, routine sprayer maintenance procedures and top-tips from fellow spray operators.

We provide workshops on arable crops and separate workshops on fruit production.

Operators will have the opportunity to share tips and solutions that work for them, and learn from their colleagues and others attending the event, best practice techniques that they could adopt in the future.

This year’s arable event is again divided into four sections:

  • Current Issues: Topical items that are in the national news and felt worthy of discussing in more detail. This section will also cover specific local issues that your presenter will tailor to your geographical area or crop production system.
  • Water Conditioning: This section focuses on water quality, its effect on pesticide performance and the role of water conditioners.
  • Sprayer Maintenance: In this section we will look at routine sprayer maintenance and filtration.
  • Technology and Top-Tips: This section considers application technology and a collection of practical top tips from Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year (FSOOTY) finalists.

Delegates will receive:

  • 3 hours of interactive training on the course syllabus
  • Delegate Work Book incorporating relevant best practice guides
  • Certificate of attendance showing CPD points
  • Refreshments and lunch provided for all sessions
