Hutchinsons are pleased to be sponsoring this year’s 2021 Soil Farmer of the Year competition!
With soil health, integrated crop management and holistic farming practices forming a key part of UK Agriculture, so it is important that those farmers who are leading the way and providing a great example are celebrated. The competition is fantastic way to exchange knowledge and experience in soil management and we will be encouraging farmers all across the UK to get involved
If you are or know someone who is engaged with, and passionate about, prioritising soil health in the farm business then you should apply for this year’s Soil Farmer of the Year Competition. If you have applied or been nominated in previous years, you are invited to apply again.
Key Dates and How to Apply
The competition is run by Farm Carbon Toolkit and Innovation for Agriculture to find the best soil farmers.
Applicants have until Friday the 5th of March to enter either yourself or to nominate someone. If you would like to nominate someone please get in touch with Becky Willson at email@example.com
Applications can be completed online HERE
Shortlisted applicants will be visited by the judging panel and the results will be published at the end of April. The top three applicants will also be hosting farm walks during summer 2021.
We are very lucky that the competition is supported by Cotswold Seeds who provide prizes for our top three winners in the form of seed. Prizes are currently set to be awarded at Groundswell in June.
